FAQ & general info on PMA Zeolite

The era of zeolites began millions of years ago when a huge number of volcanoes were still active on earth. As liquid magma came into contact with seawater, they triggered an incredible chemical reaction: the ash brought alkaline, sodium-containing water to a boil. This gave rise to the volcanic mineral zeolite-clinoptilolite. Zeolite is crisscrossed by countless channels and tiny alveoli that contain a variety of valuable minerals and trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium, which are then exchanged in the gastrointestinal tract for defined pollutants.

No. In total, there are 200 different artificial and natural zeolites worldwide, which differ in their characteristics and composition. However, zeolite-clinoptilolite is the only one known that can be used for in vivo medical applications. For this natural mineral quality is critical to sustaining health. A high percentage of silicon and therefore a high percentage of clinoptilolite (responsible for the effect as an ion exchanger or absorber of pollutants) is significant. These quality criteria and proven safety (toxicology) and explored efficacy (clinical studies) are united in the PMA zeolite.

Zeolite-clinoptilolite deposits are all over the world. We are regularly checking the quality of deposits and buying from the best ones. In addition, we take care to find the closest possible deposits (Eastern Europe-the Carpathian Mountains), to keep transportation short and to protect the environment.

With every natural raw material there are natural variations in composition. For that one must always find a particularly pure deposit. As a manufacturer of medical devices on the basis of zeolite-clinoptilolite, our responsibility is to ensure quality and safety to our users.

Zeolite-clinoptilolite PMA is a smart ion exchanger. It is traversed by channels and preloaded with cations (positively charged particles) -- a variety of minerals and trace elements -- such as magnesium, calcium or potassium, that can go into ion exchange. It combines like a key in a lock with molecules (lock-and-key-model) for which pollutants are exchanged.

The percentage of clinoptilolite is a qualitative characteristic and sums up to 85 and 90 % in PMA zeolite. This is confirmed by academic analysis. Thus, the raw material used is-because of its function-one of the natural active ingredients with the highest quality on the market.

Zeolite contains no nutritional value-no carbohydrates, protein or fat-so it is calorie-free. PANACEO products with zeolite do not provide energy to the body, but they bind and carry out pollutants, and help to strengthen the integrity of the intestinal wall.

Healing clay: they are nonspecific in composition also there is no well-defined mechanism of action. It is a traditional over-the-counter medication that is used according to the label only when there is heartburn, acid-related stomach upset, or diarrhea. There are no known clinical studies in terms of safety (behavior in the body and any release of hazardous substances) and also no measurable parameters on efficacy (beyond customer evaluations). Therefore, there is no evidence of studies on a possible detoxification effect.

Zeolite PMA is unique in terms of efficacy and safety. With permanent research (for more than 15 years) it has higher efficiency at maximum safety-guaranteed, tested, controlled and constantly monitored.

The results confirm the positive impact to strengthen intestinal wall integrity with zeolite PMA.

The highest possible product quality and quality characteristics are an important criterion for safety, efficacy, suitability for use, the quality, homogeneity, ongoing market monitoring to ensure the safety of patients, users and third parties.

Generally, with meals with a glass of water (about 100 ml) should be a clue on how to take zeolite three times a day. There are three intake options:

  • before the meal
  • with the meal
  • after the meal

All three options have advantages and disadvantages. Taking before the meal optimally increases nutrient absorption. After meal reduces oxidative stress formation and with meal is a mixture of both effects. Pollutants that may possibly be in the food can be directly linked. A sound recommendation for anyone as to how best to take zeolite (before, with or after meals) cannot be formulated and is therefore at the discretion of the user.

It should be taken for a period of 3 months (12 weeks) which showed a significant result. For regulatory reasons, a 3-day break should be taken after 28 days of intake. This is 3 cycles of 28 days in these 3 months. Intake more than 3 cycles is possible because based on existing data of biocompatibility it is all safe. Intake can be continued as long as recurrent physical loads exist.

Information on contraindications and side effects are given on our products in the "safety instructions" section. In any case, you stop taking it if you notice an unexpected effect and consult your doctor.

Except for occasional constipation (constipation), no other side effects are noted. People who are prone to constipation should pay attention to sufficient fluid intake (because of a hydrophilic characteristic of zeolite-clinoptilite) and to consume a lower starting dose during the day and also to consult a physician before taking it. Patients with constipation should not be advised to use until the constipation condition has improved.

It is important to pay attention on a functioning digestive system and sufficient water supply because of the unique and known side effect (constipation).

You should consult a doctor however there are no indications of a possible harmful effect during pregnancy.

According to safety instructions applications to children and adolescents, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Toxicologically there is nothing against taking by children. Immunologically however, it is advised that children should go through diseases for a mature immune system development (this refers specifically to infants) and therefore a prophylactic intake of zeolite is not advocated.

The physical mechanism of action: binding of heavy metals and ammonium in the gastrointestinal environment:

The primary mechanism of action of the medical device approved throughout Europe is based on a biophysical protective effect. With this effect, the cation exchanger with its minerals and trace elements is able to bind pollutants in the gastro-intestinal tract (the heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, arsenic, chromium, and nickel as well as ammonium) like a key in a lock so that pollutants are exchanged for minerals.

  • It is already known that different stress, especially repetitive physical stress, can lead to intestinal wall disorder (intestinal permeability syndrome "Leaky-gut"). Since the "Leaky-Gut" syndrome, the intestinal mucosa is physiologically permeable. This will bring unwanted substances into the bloodstream. The barrier of the intestinal wall protects the body from unwanted substances occurring in the intestinal environment. If this barrier is disturbed, it increases the risk of harmful substances entering through the intestinal wall to penetrate and harm the body. Zeolite helps strengthening and supporting the integrity of the intestinal wall.
  • Due to the permanent confrontation with toxins (such as heavy metals) and a permeable intestinal mucosa, an influx of unwanted substances (exo- and endotoxins) from the intestine to the body can happen, so the central detoxification system (the liver) is overloaded and immunological reactions and dysregulation are triggered. This means that physical action in the gastrointestinal tract can have a positive systemic impact on the body. Also a positive impact on antioxidant capacity as well as positive effect on liver and kidney parameters.
  • Products are natural and certified medical devices with the mineral zeolite-clinoptilolite. This means they have scientifically proven efficacy with maximum safety-guaranteed, tested, controlled and constantly monitored.
  • Product Qualification V: A scientifically proven effect through clinical studies to strengthen the integrity of the intestinal wall (Leaky-Gut and Permeable Gut) with zeolite PMA. (The 'Gold Standard' clinical study).
  • Product Qualification has scientifically proven effect through clinical studies to strengthen the integrity of the intestinal wall (Leaky-Gut and Permeable Gut) with zeolite PMA. (The 'Gold Standard' clinical study).
  • It should be noted that the outstanding effects and properties of zeolite PMA have been studied for many years in collaboration with international universities and their scientists. Long-term observations from physicians and studies (preclinical and clinical studies) confirm the positive effect of zeolite PMA.
  • PMA zeolite has been extensively toxicologically tested and classified as safe. To highlight are particularly high thermal stability and as well as the resistance of PMA zeolite to aggressive substances, especially acids and ionizing radiation (i.e., the grid structure is not destroyed). Therefore, PMA zeolite is stable under physiological conditions.
  • Zeolite-clinoptilolite PMA contains a natural percentage of aluminum. It is always to be remembered in which aluminum connection occurs. The data from clinical studies demonstrate the safety of zeolite PMA with regard to aluminum release.
  • Zeolite products naturally absorb pollutants. The highly branched tunnels, channels and cavities turn the zeolite into a kind of perfect sponge that can absorb poisonous heavy metals before they can reach the bloodstream. Especially lead is preferentially absorbed by zeolite. It has been claimed by studies, that zeolite PMA in the intestinal environment of the stomach can reduce any loads of lead from food.
  • It is already proven in a scientifically recognized gastrointestinal model that zeolite PMA particularly absorbs heavy metals such as lead, arsenic, chromium, cadmium, and nickel and subsequently can reduce the body's burden with these pollutants. PMA zeolite absorbs these heavy metals itself, especially lead, and no longer emits them under physiological (normal) conditions.
  • As for medication interaction, we recommend a 1-hour delayed intake of PANACEO products with medications, so medications, unless otherwise prescribed, should be taken before zeolite dietary supplements.
  • The ion exchange properties determine the possible interactions of zeolite, i.e., zeolite is a natural adsorbent that is negatively charged and attracts positively charged harmful substances (lead, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, and nickel) while providing the body with minerals such as calcium and magnesium. Because of the molecular size of most drugs, interactions with zeolite are predictable-because only those molecules that are small enough to fit in zeolite's tiny channels can be bound.
  • This explanation of zeolite-clinoptilolite PMA is based on solid scientific studies that are recorded in our entire company documents prior to market release, which are then verified by the certifying body. Clinical studies show that zeolite PMA has no negative influence on vital substances.
